How to Travel the World As Cheap As Possible

I traveled more so now during this time, I noticed a few things I'd like to share. If you dream of traveling around the world and is far from being a millionaire, then this is the right message for you. I'm just one of many examples that show that it is more than possible.
There have been many articles on this subject, and many more are about to come, but like traveling around the world is a dream of many. Here are some tips that I personally use to travel as cheaply as possible and still have a place to stay (not a grass in a park or bus station), food and lots of fun.
Save on transport
This is one of the most important things for cheap travel. Overland travel is usually less expensive than flying, so try not to go too often a place exactly in the opposite part of the world. Better get a ticket to a place and explore more deeply, then move on land and not come back, just move on to another destination. Plan your route without having to return to the same place several times.
If possible, hitchhike or rent a car if you are traveling with other people so you can share the costs. Try to walk as much as possible and do not use taxis to get around the city. Your feet are your best friend. Believe me, it is easy to walk up to a mile a day (which will help you keep fit, too), and if not, use public transport. Remember, taxis are not allowed.
Saving money on food
Just a tip to use when you try to eat when on the road - avoid eating in restaurants. Not only dinner, but breakfast and snacks can be very expensive if you buy fruit, especially in some countries (eg, Europe). Try to cook and prepare meals whenever you get the chance, it will save a lot of money. If you sometimes have no kitchen available, then try the local markets to get the best fruit / vegetables / meat and in many cases, you can get a meal prepared and fair.
If you do not have another chance, but eating out, and then find a good spot outside the tourist area. If people go there, this is the best signal. It will be much cheaper and probably even more tasty and they have more time to prepare, without all the tourist problems. Get the daily menu. Beware though, some countries can easily get an upset stomach or diarrhea, if you are not accustomed to local food.
Save on accommodation
Logically, there are 4 or 5 * hotels * and not all-inclusive vacation. The best way is usually inns, but you used to share a room and bathroom with others what they offered no privacy. If you stay more than 2-3 weeks, then rent an apartment.
Out of center / beach / or any place frequently visited by tourists is still much cheaper than where everyone goes. The smaller hotels run by locals are cheaper than the big hotels. And free, try home exchange or couchsurfing.org which are widely used today.
Saving money on travel agencies
Most of the time, not only travel agents cost more than if you take a trip on your own, but if you book your ticket, they charge a fee. So use sites like Scyscanner, Kayak, Expedia time yourself and take control of all to find the best deal. You can save up to half price or more to properly check the tickets.
