Travel Writing, Good For The Soul, Good For The World
Traveling is one of my true loves. I caught the travel bug when travel became part of my career. My first assignment abroad was a week in Thailand. This trip can be described by the words "lightning" -. hours of the day at the office, followed by missions dinner every night. I have not seen in Bangkok at all, so I decided to take the following Monday off work and stay the weekend. These three days have changed my life. Suddenly, I was hooked on seeing new places.
I look at the world in this post, I had a lot of luck. I had many projects in Africa, Europe and Asia. And mileage points accumulated during these trips that financed my personal travel experiences years later. I was really blessed.
In my youth, I often lacked foresight. I stopped doing things that I would have to make life better as it progressed. Not so with my travel experiences. Whenever I remembered to bring my camera, a travel journal and a pen. Travel became the inspiration for my art. Now I have a beautiful set of photographs that adorn the walls of my arts Packaging my shelves. Everything reminds me of the wonderful experiences I had and the enormous personal growth that results.
Reflecting on these trips, I can see how my mind was opened by the experiences I've had. In reflecting the diversity of the world has to offer, I became a wiser person, a better person.
Then there are the people I met along the way. By accepting their hospitality, their customs and their generosity, my heart was opened. Sure, they may have a different way of doing things, a different way of interpreting events, they are just people, but people like you and me to learn to accept them without reservation, my ability to love and tolerance has increased tremendously.
Trip was very good for me. I am a much better person from my experiences and what I write about them. Write about these experiences mean that I can share ideas that I have developed with people who were not as lucky as me, people who have not been blessed with the opportunity to travel. By sharing ideas and experiences that have helped me become more tolerant, accepting person can help another person to do the same.
